We are pleased to announce that we will now be officially part of the registered charity 'The Friends of the Leeds Centre for Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma' ('Friends' for short!), established in 1979. To date we have been working alongside the 'Friends' charity in order to fund and provide the TVs on the wards. Both Hug on a Tray and the 'Friends' charity care and support the same groups of patients in different ways, so it makes sense for us to amalgamate. We will be joining with 'Friends' as their official fundraising initiative, so giving Hug on a Tray official charity status while retaining our 'Hug on a Tray' brand and website. This also enables us to promote upcoming events on the 'Friends' ‘Just Giving’ page. All this directly helps Hug on a Tray to continue with our pledge to use every penny to support all Haematology patients and their families. Be assured that, like us, none of the trustees of the ‘Friends’ charity are paid, no salaries, everything is completely voluntary. I will also be joining the charity as a trustee and further information will appear on our website in due course.
